For two weeks this summer ground-breaking, and inspirational artists will be transforming a 17th century barn into a wonderland of beguiling, and dynamic artwork.

The Art on the edge collective comprise an eclectic mix of innovative artists embodying everything from sculptural blacksmithing, to mixed media, oil painters, wood and stone sculptors, ceramicists, and creators of surreal, and fantastical suspended installations.

The exhibition will be staged at the atmospheric, rustic, Glebe farm barn, Carleton Forehoe, Norfolk from the 9th-25th August, and promises to be a thought provoking, invigorating, and uncompromising experience.

This unique setting will prove to be the ideal location, and perfect backdrop to an impressive, and exhilarating array of diverse, otherworldly, and captivating creations, far removed from many staid, and traditional shows.

This blend of the contemporary, and ancient should prove to be a perfect marriage of styles, and eras with many futuristic creations being forged from traditional crafts. The exhibition will include the works of Artist blacksmiths Dave Capes, Bill Cordouroy, Nigel Barnett, and James, and Helen Spedding, ‘Found-metal’ sculptors Rachael Long, Roger Foyster, and Ben Southwell, mixed-media artists John Behm, Beth Groom, Emma Kemp, and Jan Cordouroy, and wood worker Richard Mclevey. Abstract painter Marcus Capes will be travelling over from New Zealand to create exclusive work for the show, while Katharine Wojcik creates installations manipulating, fragmenting, and rearranging pre-recorded sounds. This exuberant, exciting, and edgy exhibition promises to be one of the artistic highlights of 2008.

The exhibition at Glebe farm barn runs from August 9th-25th, and will be open from 10.30am-6pm Saturday-Wednesday, and 10.30-8pm Thursday, and Friday. Disabled access will be available, and road signs with directions to the venue will be installed.
